This international condom-donation program was Amanda’s idea (but she needed others to help it work). Moved by the “Taking the Pledge” video and fully aware of the hideous impact of AIDS and other STIs, she was horrified that sex workers in other countries were being handed death-sentences due to US-based morality issues with sex work. PA does not span the globe right now, but at least it’s something. She could not sit back and pretend the problem away.

Amanda is a Dallas native and has lived most of her life in Texas but is currently in California. Along with earning a college degree, she spent her 20s as a stripper and escort, retiring to write a series of reference books for Internet escorts and become involved in trying to change public perceptions of sex workers. There are other things she does with her time too.
